MKMMA Week 14

You Will be the Ones!

We read over and over about how what we think, what we believe, what think is possible, will happen, if…….. We REALLY believe that.

BOLD STATEMENT RIGHT?

If you are like a lot of people on New Year’s Day, you find it hard not to check out some the College Bowl Games.  Especially if you’re like me, in a place so cold you don’t want to go outside unless it’s necessary.  Let me digress for a moment, I just found out that the schools here in Minnesota will be closed on Monday as the forecast HIGH temperature for the day is expected to be Minus 15 degrees F…. OUCH!!  Okay back to the story….

One of the games many people watched was the Michigan State vs. Stanford game, a very entertaining back and forth game ultimately won by Michigan State.  The underlying story-line is that Michigan State Coach Dan Dantonio was at the Rose Bowl in May 2013, recorded a short video, which was incorporated into a longer video that you can watch below.  Here’s summary of what he recorded about 7 months before the game;

“Hey guys, welcome to the Rose Bowl, this is where we make it happen. …You will be the ones. It sort of gives you the chills walking out here, it’s a long way from home. But we’ve got a plan. We’ve got a plan to get here.”

Isn’t it amazing what can happen when you really believe, when you make that BOLD statement, and shout it to the world.

When you dream of roses, they will bloom.

  1. Very cool Doug! I love the speaking into being in this, which is so powerful and something that we can all apply in our own lives 🙂

    Very interesting Doug! Coach Dan had a vision and a plan, but also a belief that gave vitality to those things. Obviously, his vision, his faith, and his plan were unflawed… congrats to Michigan State.
